Russ Goozee

Russ is a classically trained musician who played and recorded music in his 20s and secured a record deal with CBS music. The opportunity to work in film changed his life. Russ started working at Partners as a production assistant, and then moved into the camera department and quickly realized his love for cinematography.

An up and coming producer saw the talent in Russ and gave him a shot doing his first feature called The Donor. This was the beginning of his career and passion for playing with light. While Russ was busy lighting action movies such as Robocop and Universal Soldier, he got a call for a James Cameron show called The Lost Tomb of Jesus which took him on many trips to Israel and landed him a CSC award for Best Cinematography in DocuDrama.

Hooked on documentaries, he spent ten years through the middle-east and Europe as well as the US. Russ came back to Toronto and jumped back into TV and features with over 100 credits. He has worked with Amazon EOne, Hallmark, Family Channel, Lifetime, Discover, Syfy, Sony, Showtime, ABC Family, New Horizons.
